How much does it cost to paint the interior of a house?

Can you paint over old paint?
Old paint can be painted over but should be done with caution. Any walls that are being painted over should be carefully cleaned to remove any grease that could affect the application of the paint. Next, any holes or cracks should be filled with a suitable filler to create an even surface. The area can then be primed and possibly sanded, to smooth and prep the surface for the paint. The walls can now be painted with at least two coats, depending on the saturation of the new paint, as well as the colour underneath.
Do professional painters clean walls before painting?
